The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are reportedly shifting their focus towards their own 'positive' projects after their previous public criticism of the Royal Family, a royal insider has claimed.

Since leaving their roles in the British monarchy in January 2020 and relocating to North America, the couple has made several controversial claims about the Royal Family.

These include accusations of racism against Buckingham Palace during their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and explosive revelations in Prince Harry's memoir, released in December 2022.

Despite their earlier negative remarks about their royal relations, it is now thought that Meghan and Harry have chosen to discontinue their campaign of criticism in order to pursue other ventures in the US.

According to British journalist Valentine Low, who appeared on Good Morning Britain, individuals close to the couple have confirmed that they no longer intend to make further accusations against the royal family.

He said: “I think Harry and Meghan do want to move on.

“I’ve spoken to their people who, basically, in terms of accusations against the royal family, they say, ‘We’re done, we’ve done that’.

“It’s not that there won’t be any shots because there might be shots, but I don’t think that there will be a concerted thing like a book or a program or a big interview."

The couple's public criticism began in March 2021 during their interview with Oprah, where they discussed their treatment within the Royal Family.

Their journey and decision to step back from the British monarchy were further explored in their Netflix docuseries, titled 'Harry & Meghan', which was released in December 2022, just before the publication of Prince Harry's memoir.

Prince Harry's autobiography contained shocking revelations about his upbringing in Britain's most prominent family.

One particular passage from the book claimed that his brother, Prince William, had 'knocked' him to the floor during an argument at Nottingham Cottage.

The argument apparently stemmed from a heated discussion about Meghan, during which Prince William referred to her as 'difficult', 'rude', and 'abrasive'.

It has been previously claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan have been mulling over a name change from Windsor to Spencer.
