Dramatic footage shows two migrants being carried away on stretchers after being found in the back of a freezer lorry.

Film captured by witnesses at the scene shows two people being taken away from Newhaven ferry port. Six people have been taken to hospital after emergency services swarmed the area earlier today.

Two people have been arrested.

One of the people was wrapped in a foil blanket.

It has been reported that six people were found in a freezer lorry that arrived at the ferry port this morning.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of facilitating illegal entry to the UK and a second man has been arrested for illegally entering the UK, Sussex Police say.

People reported seeing an air ambulance landing near the scene in Newhaven this morning.

Border Force officials are also believed to be there.
