People made the most of the sunny bank holiday weekend weather yesterday on what turned out to be one of the warmest days of the year so far.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the sun on Brighton beach on Easter Sunday while crowds packed The Lanes.

Contrary to expectations, temperatures soared and are predicted to continue in double figures for the rest of the week.
