Adam Lallana believes Albion have got over their first “flaky” performance of the season.

Now he aims to turn that into a win over West Brom.

The midfielder reckons a tally of four points so far does not reflect how the Seagulls have performed.

He says their efforts in the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace were a good response after some home truths in the wake of a 4-2 defeat by Everton.

Lallana says he is feeling fitter by the week and has enjoyed his football with the Seagulls so far.

He told The Argus: “We have not got enough points for what our performances warrant. That’s a fact. It’s important we take confidence in that.

“I look back at the United game and I don’t think I’ve been involved in a game like that before in my career.

“It was important we got a point against Palace because our performance deserved at least that point.

“We would have been really deflated if we had come away from that game with nothing.

“I think the only really disappointing game was probably Everton.

“We weren’t happy with that. We gave some soft goals away. We were a bit flaky.

“We have taken responsibility for that, we have spoken about that and moved forward.

“We got a good reaction against Palace and I thought we were very solid - and hard done by.

“If we keep doing the basics well, doing what we believe in and how we want to play, Lady Luck will even itself it out over the course of the year, I’m pretty sure about that.”
