Albion defender Leo Ostigard has revealed he is fit and well after his plans were hit by Covid-19.

Ostigard was denied a senior international debut when Norway’s Nations League match in Romania was called off at the weekend.

The squad were not allowed to leave Oslo after their Galatasaray right-back Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive.

Ostigard has tested negative and is fit to play for Coventry City, where he is on loan, against Birmingham on Friday.

He is looking forward to a return to football after a stressful few days.

Ostigard told Nettavissen.no: “It is probably a bigger strain than people think, because the only thing we want is to play matches and play for the country.

“But we have done things extremely correctly and well and got one infected, which is a shame.
