Graham Potter has revealed his Albion squad are positive they can get out of trouble.

The head coach identified key figures in the changing room who are “sensible guys” .

But he says all staff have a part to play in climbing the Premier League in 2021.

Albion aim for a first home win of the season as they face Wolves today (5.30pm, Sky Sports).

The weekend programme no longer includes a contest between the two teams either side of the Seagulls in the table as Burnley's game with Fulham was called off.

Potter was asked by The Argus how his changing room are responding to the winless run and perilous position in the table.

He said: “I look at the likes of Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn, Adam Lallana, Adam Webster, Danny Welbeck, Neal Maupay, these guys and they are really sensible guys.

“They are, of course, disappointed.

“We are all sports people, competitive people, who want to win.

“Believe you me, our lives are a lot nicer when you win football matches than when you don’t. We are suffering, it’s clear.

“But I think if you look in the changing room, if you look at training, if you speak to the guys, if you speak to the staff, there’s a positive feeling.

87TH IN THE TABLE, NOW ALBION AIM TO IMPROVE

“There’s a good feeling. We are up for the challenge.

“We are going to fight, we are going to do our best and we are going to come through it. That’s what we are going to do.”

ALBION HAVE NO PLANS TO SELL KEY PLAYERS

Asked whether key players had a part to play, be it by standing up to say their bit or leading by example, he said: “I think they all have.

“They have got to lead themselves and then they have got to lead each other.

“That’s the type of environment you want. It doesn’t just come from the head coach.

"It comes from the players and from everybody at the club to try and lift each other.

"At the same time, it’s a really difficult balance to articulate.

"I don’t think I can sit here and say we are getting beat by two or three every week, we are playing poorly, the players aren’t trying. Then I think it’s a different conversation.

"What I think has happened is we have played quite well and haven’t been so lucky.

"Then, with the players we have, there’s a chance you don’t get the results you want.

"At the same time you have got to focus on a lot of the positives they are doing.

"They are a really good bunch, I love working with them and I know they are going to give everything."
