Albion defender Adam Webster has insisted he is 'working hard' to get back out on the pitch as soon as possible.
The 26-year-old, went off with an ankle injury late on in the 1-1 draw at Burnley at the start of this month.
Intially the Seagulls were hopeful it would not be a long-term injury, but head coach Graham Potter confirmed that Webster will miss their trip to the Hawthorns tomorrow.
Potter admitted the injury was worse than they had intially thought.
He said: "I wouldn’t say much more serious – we were optimistic initially.
"But then it didn’t settle down as quickly and you have to wait for a little bit of time just to understand the extent of the damage.
"It’s going to be a few more weeks than we thought initially.
"That’s just how it is and we have to deal with it."
Webster himself took to Twitter with a picture of himself in action at Anfield last month along with the following message: "Nothing worse than watching from the sidelines but working hard to get back fit as soon as I can"
