Albion defender Fliss Gibbons admits herself and everyone at the club have been inspired by their teammate Rebekah Stott’s attitude in her battle with cancer.
The New Zealand international confirmed on Tuesday night that she has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which is an uncommon cancer that develops in the lymphatic system.

But Gibbons says herself and her teammates have been inspired by the positivity that Stott has shown in her battle with Cancer.
She said: “Obviously all of us were devastated to hear Stotty’s news, but inspired by here attitude toward it.
“She is incredibly positive, been incredibly brave and she knows we are all behind her.
“We miss her a lot, she obviously was a huge character here and all of us her send Stotty our best wishes.
“But we have been inspired by her bravery really, what she has shown in her interview like I said it is inspirational really with what she is going through and how positive she is being and she is an inspiration to us all.”
