Isaac Hayden has confirmed Yves Bissosuma was not to blame for what looked a serious injury at the Amex.
Bissouma checked on his opponent after Albion’s win over Newcastle.
The Toon midfielder thanked him and medical staff for their concern and help.
Hayden went down clutching his left knee after Bissouma accidently fell into him as he span out of a tussle with Jonjo Shelvey.
FULL-TIME VERDICT FROM THE AMEX
H was stretchered off while Bissouma looked on clearly upset.
Hayden tweeted after the game “Respect to Bissouma for checking on me after the game. Was a complete accident. And Brighton medical staff for their help tonight.”
Gutted all round is an understatement! I will be doing my utmost to recover as quickly as I can from this injury to help the team. Respect to Bissouma for checking on me after the game was a complete accident and Brighton medical staff for there help tonight also #NUFC

Toon boss Steve Bruce was bombarded with questions over his future during his press conference, conducted via Zoom, and there were no queries regarding Hayden’s injury.
But an absence would be another setback for Newcastle in their quest to stay up.
