Albion could have two Ecuador internationals in their ranks.

New signing Jeremy Sarmiento has set his sights on playing for La Tri, according to his Ecuadorian father.

But to do that he needs to progress from the under-23s and play in the Premier League.

Sarmiento’s arrival from Benfica on a two-year deal was announced yesterday.

He was reported to have signed a pre-contract with a Prem club back in March.

The 19-year-old attacking player has played for England at under-17 level and was born in Madrid of Ecuadorian parents.

His dad Leonel said: “My son is motivated, happy with this new challenge.
