Alexis Mac Allister was hosted by a legendary Argentina striker before switching his focus to the World Cup quarter-finals.
The Albion star joined Gabriel Batistuta on his luxury yacht moored off Doha.
Mac Allister was relaxing after helping his nation beat Australia 2-1 in the last 16.
He joined team-mate Julian Alvarez as guests of the ex-Fiorentina No.9, who remains a hero back home in Argentina.
Batistuta took the chance to introduce the current stars to his four sons.
Argentina are understood to be considering a midfield start for Leandro Paredes when they face the Netherlands in the last eight on Friday (7pm).
But Mac Allister has made a strong case to remain in the XI in his three starts so far.
