Albion captain Lewis Dunk has been called up to the England national squad but team mate Solly March has missed out.

England play Ukraine and Scotland in Euro qualifiers next Saturday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 12.

Lewis Dunk got his deserved call up at the end of May for two Euro 2024 qualifiers but had to pull out of the squad due to a niggling injury.

He said a few Albion players were “playing on adrenaline” as De Zerbi’s side secured Europa League football for the first time ever.

Solly March was seen as an outside shout for a call up after some brilliant form over the last eight months.

Albion’s right winger has been in a rich vein of form with 16 goal contributions in his last 25 games for Brighton, starting from his first goal of the season last campaign away at Southampton on Boxing Day.

Gareth Southgate has monitored both players this season.

Dunk has one solitary cap in November 2018 for a friendly against the United States.

Levi Colwill who spent last season on loan with Albion has also been called up to the squad.

Other notable call-ups include Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi and Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah.

Pascal Gross was called up to the German national team this morning for the first time ever.
