Former Albion forward Sam Baldock has announced his retirement.
The 34-year-old is currently with Oxford United, the club he supported as a boy.
He has taken up a new role of business development analyst but has not ruled out coaching.
Baldock has been troubled by injury since joining Oxford.
He said: “It may be that coaching is what I turn to, but the other side of the sport is equally interesting.
“I have spent a couple of months with the commercial and marketing team and this week started a similar spell with the academy.
“Over the rest of the season I want to find out what makes a football club tick, and doing it at Oxford is a fantastic opportunity.”
In an interview released by Oxford United, Baldock said helping Albion into the Premier League in 2016-17 was the highlight of his career.
He said: “The year we got promoted with Brighton was a special one.
“It was a really good, special group of friends, good group of people and a great club.
“The way everything around that season happened was just really, really memorable.”
