Escape Route 36

Profile: Possibly the youngest band to be featured in Download Of The Week, five-piece Escape Route 36 is made up of students from years 10 and 11 at Oathall Community College.

The band has already released their debut album, No Divider, which is available on iTunes, and from Rockability in South Road and Carousel Music in Commercial Square, in Haywards Heath.

Most of the songs were written by singer and keyboard player Josie Charlwood, with guitarist Ben Fadero collaborating on a couple of tracks. The whole album was recorded live, with no overdubs or guest musicians, over a period of five months in the band’s Haywards Heath studio. The band is now embarking on their second album, and their GCSEs.
