The Argus: Gnarwolves

Gnarwolves

From: Brighton via Cornwall

Profile: Fresh from releasing their third EP, Funemployed, in June, Brighton-based Gnarwolves are being credited with re-igniting the skatepunk scene up and down the country.

The band, which got together in Cornwall in late 2011, has already supported Every Time I Die, Boysetsfire, Off With Their Heads, Joyce Manor and The Story So Far. And in October the band support Funeral For A Friend on their national tour.

The band first turned heads with their self-released debut tape Fun Club, followed by the EP Cru which was released on Tangled Talk Records in the UK last July. Cru has since been re-pressed on 7in and CD as they start work on their debut album, due for release at the end of the year.

Until then try to catch the band at one of their many summer festival appearances, including Redfest this weekend; Y Not in Matlock (Fri, Aug 2, to Sun, Aug 4); Boardmasters in Cornwall (Wed, Aug 7, to Sun, Aug 11); Reading and Leeds (Fri, Aug 23, to Sun, Aug 25); WTFest V 2013, Southampton (Thurs, Aug 29 to Sun, Sept 1); Make A Noise, Chatham (Fri, Aug 30, to Sun, Sept 1), and Underground, Gloucester (Sat, Sept 28, to Sun, Sept 29).
