A man has died after falling from the roof of a building.

The man, 52, was pronounced dead after police were called to an incident in The Esplanade in Bognor on Monday morning.

The incident, which took place at around 9am, saw the road closed due to the emergency services response. The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Emergency services were called to The Esplanade in Bognor Regis at around 9am on Monday, February 13, to reports of a man having fallen from a building.

“A 52-year-old man from Portsmouth was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“His next of kin have been informed and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
