Brighton residents have enjoyed one of the first warm days this year by taking to the beach and cramming the city’s streets.
Beaches were swarmed and The Lanes were filled with people ahead of the long Easter bank holiday weekend.
Pub gardens and street seating were also full as people took in the sunshine which bathed the south coast at the start of the week.
Temperatures in Brighton continued to remain in double figures for one of the first times this year and are expected to soar further in the coming days.
Many people sat on deck chairs on Brighton’s beach while others stretched out across the city’s coastline.

Scenes are still a far cry from coming months, however, when beaches will be filled by people enjoying the summer sun.
Elsewhere in the city, both The Lanes and North Laine were packed by shoppers taking in some of Brighton’s independent businesses.
Roads including Sydney Street and Trafalgar Street enjoyed high amounts of foot traffic as families enjoyed the Easter holidays.
