Mourners gathered for the funeral of a couple who were found dead at their home.
The funeral of Chloe-Jay Bashford, 30, and Josh Bashford, 33, was held today at Woodvale Crematorium in Lewes Road, Brighton.
Mr Bashford’s casket was draped with a Crystal Palace flag, the team he supported, and loved ones wore Crystal Palace tops with “Josh 33” on the back.
People paid tribute to Mrs Bashford by wearing orange and orange flowers were also decorated on flower tributes which read “mummy” and “sister”.
Mr Bashford’s hearse had a similar flower tribute with “daddy” on the front of the car.
The couple were killed at their home in Lewes Road, Newhaven, on the evening of Friday, June 9.
Derek Martin, also known as Derek Glenn, is charged with the murder of Josh and Chloe Bashford.
Martin, 64, of Moulsecoomb Way in Brighton, who was known to the couple, appeared at Lewes Crown Court on June 14.
His mental state at the time of the killings will be assessed and he will appear in court again on August 3 to enter a plea.
A provisional trial date was set for November 27.
The couple were found with stab wounds in different bedrooms of their house, an inquest heard.
A fundraiser for their children Brooklyn, Ava, Mila and Joshua was set up by Kayleigh Last, one of the couple’s nieces.
The fundraiser has received almost £42,000 in total.
Writing on GoFundMe, Ms Last said: "First of all we want to say thank you for all the support our family have received in this difficult time.
"Chloe and Josh were the most incredible and loving parents to four amazing children.
"Brooklyn, Ava, Mila and Joshua are safe and cared for and are grieving with the whole family.
"Rest in Peace Chloe and Josh, you will always be so loved and never forgotten."
