A cat who had a traumatic start in life and was found living on the streets is looking for her forever home.

Hela, who is three years old, was found as a stray with an infected wound caused by her leg being trapped in her collar.

She was put into the care of the Worthing Cat Welfare Trust and given treatment.

After recovering well, she is now looking for her forever home.

Joss Loader, chairwoman of the trust, said: "This initially shy but very sweet-natured little cat is looking for a calm, loving home after experiencing a traumatic start to life.

The Argus: She is now looking for her forever home

"After a few weeks recuperating with one of our lovely fosterers, she's now flourishing and her wound has healed completely.

"Fond of raising her paw to attract her people's attention, Hela could live with calm, older children but is untested with other pets."

More information can be found at https://www.worthingcatwelfaretrust.org/adoption-process/.

Hela, who also needs garden access at her new home, has also been spayed and vaccinated.

The charity, which was set up almost three decades ago, will need to conduct a home visit for potential adopters and will need a donation fee if the adoption goes ahead.
