BY CAR

Please be aware that there will be significant road closures for part of the day of Pride.

There is NO parking at Preston Park and its surroundings on the day.

Parking is restricted on a large section of Madeira Drive.

Parking in the centre of Brighton can be both limited and expensive, so we suggest you use public transport where you can.

PARK & RIDE

Park & Ride facilities for 650 cars are provided in a convenient location close to Preston Park at Mill Road and will be well signposted Turn right off the main roundabout at the A23 London Road and A27 as you enter Brighton.

The parking charge is great value at £10 inclusive of your journey to Preston Park or The Steine (close to the start of the Parade at Madeira Drive) on the Big Lemon Pride Shuttle Bus.

This exclusive, express service only stops at key Pride destinations -

  • Park & Ride
  • Pride Camp Site
  • Preston Park (Pride Festival)
  • The Steine (Set James's Street, Gay Village).
  • Brighton Station

The return journey on the Big Lemon Shuttle is just £2.50 per person.

Note: Mill Road is also the location of the Pride Camp site operated by Tangerine Fields.

BY PLANE

Nearest international Airport is Gatwick Airport, with Frequent Trains services to Brighton taking Approximately 20 minutes .

BY TRAIN

Trains from London Victoria take approximately 55 minutes.

BY BUS

National express run hourly services from London Victoria bus station and destinations throughout the UK.

PARADE ROAD CLOSURES:

The Pride Parade sets off at 11am from Madeira Drive and travels west along Kings Road, north up West Street, east along North Street and north to Preston Park.

The rear of the parade is expected to arrive at the park at approximately 2pm.

During the parade the route and its side junctions will be closed to traffic. Roads affected include:

  • New England Road closed from Preston Circus to New England Street
  • Preston Circus and London Road/Preston Road
  • Northbound traffic from Old Steine diverted along A270 Lewes Road
  • Southbound traffic from A23 diverted east to Preston Drove or west to South Road
  • Kings Road (eastbound) and its junctions with Preston Street, Cannon Place and West Street will close at 10.50am until the Parade leaves Kings Road and moves into West Street

Once the Parade leaves the city centre, roads will reopen, however some closures may remain until it is safe to reopen them.
