Albion have been told to look forward to seeing the real Stephen Dobbie.

Manager Gus Poyet is considering whether to start the Glaswegian at Wolves today after he came off the bench to grab the Seagulls’ stoppage time winner against Peterborough on Tuesday.

It was Dobbie’s first goal since moving from Swansea at the end of the August transfer window and former Swans team-mate Andre Orlandi believes it will kick-start Dobbie’s Albion career.

Orlandi, denied by a post from breaking his own duck against Posh, said: “I think it was more important for him than me. He needed that goal and I think from now on we are going to see the real Stephen.

“He has been really good in training and against Leeds he was really good when he came on. You can see when he has the ball he offers something different.”

Adam El-Abd, ruled out for the second match running today by hamstring trouble, could be back in contention for next Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield.

Lewis Dunk deputises again alongside skipper Gordon Greer, who is making his 100th Albion appearance.

Has Vicente left perhaps? Seems a long injury - anyone seen him in the UK in the past month? Maybe he'd stir the crowd positively by showing his face or Inigo could wear a black hat when jogging up and down the sidelines warming up and squat a little more and just pretend to be Vicente!!

Get rid of Vicente, a total waste of time, effort and money. Best player in the squad by far but how can you have a thigh strain for three months?

The role for Dobbie is the same as the role that Rooney has for Man U and given more playing time I feel sure that he will deliver. My interest now, and Dobbie will have to perform to feed my interest, is to see if Gus pushes Barnes or Buckley further forward along side CMS so they can benefit from what Dobbie can provide.
I have said before and I say again, Dobbie and CMS could prove to be a lethal duo.

Tony you have dangled this carrot on most of the posts today and it's my hope that people don't bite.
It has all been said about Vicente and it's time to forget about him and wait for a difinitive statement from the club, today is about getting three points not Vicente..
