Hoskins spot-on for Albion

Albion's penalty woes could be over.
They have scored from the spot again after Stephen Dobbie's late success from 12 yards at Wolves earlier this month.
This time it was Will Hoskins in a 1-1 friendly draw against his old club Watford this afternoon.
Hoskins accepted the responsibility of equalising in the second half of the run-out at Watford's London Colney training ground, even though Dobbie was also in the side.
Dobbie's conversion at Wolves ended a sequence of four saved penalties out of 11 for Albion, the latest Craig Mackail-Smith's second spot-kick against Leeds at The Amex.
The Seagulls' line-up against Watford, watched by boss Gus Poyet, also included Inigo Calderon at centre half and midfielders Gary Dicker, Ryan Harley, Matt Sparrow and David.
The Watford team contained players potentially available for loan as well before Thursday's deadline. Clubs represented by scouts included Brentford and AFC Wimbledon.
Watford's first half goalscorer was Geoffrey Mujangi Bia, on loan from Belgian club Standard Liege.

I am pretty sure that the guy heading up the medical team has advised Gus with regards how long each player will be out when injured, I am not so sure that Gus is always being straight with the press, the opposition read the papers too.
The head of the midical team is very hight regarded in the field of sports medicine, his credentials are impecable, which brings me to Vicente.
I will not accept that the doctor doesn't know what is wrong with Vicente or that he dpesn't know how to treat him. Vicente has always been a slow healer, he once blamed a former clubs medical team for not getting him back playing sooner than they did.
If, as I have said in the past, Vicente is just stringing us all along then the medical team would know it. If this is the case and the medical team know it, then they would have to be engaged in a conspiracy with the clubs management, and now I have given this more thought I am not so sure about Vicente.
Is it plausable to think that a well respected doctor would soil his name just to save the club the embarassment of having to admit that Vicente has gone on strike, I think not.
I have come around to thinking that Vicente does have a genuine injury and that as I said, he is a slow healer. I still think that the guy should be cut loose, I don't see the value in keeping him with each game passing it is just one less game for him to play.
I am sure that all the players on Brighton's books have various clauses in their contracts, and I would bet that there is one in Vicente's that covers injury time outs.

How is 4 saved penalties out of 11 a sequence? How does making it 5 out of 12 end a sequence that has no logical symmetry i.e. missed 2, scored two etc?

As I can not believe for one minute that Stephen Dobbie has been put in the loan window I am going to hope against hope that Will Hoskins is in the same position of getting or maintaining match fitness. To send him out on loan now would be tantamount to madness... shooting yourself in the foot... and a thousand and one other idioms. Hopefully Gus will understand at least one of them and get Will running alongside CMS in what could be a deadly partnership. Fingers crossed!!!
