Gus Poyet was last night out of the spotlight as Albion fans hoped his dispute with the club was moving closer to an outcome.
A disciplinary hearing into alleged breach of contract by the Seagulls boss kicked off yesterday.
No comment was made by the club or the League Managers Association, who are representing Poyet, regarding any progress made. The hearing is expected to continue today. Poyet was listed on the BBC’s website to appear as an expert analyst as part of their television coverage of Uruguay’s match against Nigeria in the Confederations Cup last night. However, Albion fans hoping for some insight into events at the club were frustrated when he was replaced on the show by former England defender Danny Mills.
Poyet and coach Charlie Oatway have now been under suspension by their club for five weeks.
The Uruguayan is under contract with the Seagulls until 2016.
