Andrea Orlandi earned Oscar Garcia's Albion a 1-0 friendly win against La Liga outfit Getafe in Spain tonight.

Garcia's fellow Spaniard slotted the only goal of the game from an Ashley Barnes pass in the 12th minute of a satisfying workout for the new head coach.

Left-back signing Adam Chicksen had been introduced for his debut moments earlier in place of Bruno, who went off nursing what appeared to be a slight knock.

Barnes should have doubled Albion's advantage in the 27th minute but miscued wide of an open goal from four yards after Leo Ulloa and Will Buckley set him up.

Adrian Colunga went close three times from long range for Getafe in a second half littered with changes by both sides.

He clipped the bar from one free-kick out wide and the post with another.
