Oscar Garcia tonight spoke of his pride at seeing Albion win 1-0 at Wigan.
The Seagulls secured their third successive victory – and ended the Latics’ unbeaten home record in the process.
Andrew Crofts headed the winner and Tomasz Kuszczak preserved the points with a great save from Grant Holt late on.
But Oscar was keen to praise all his players – and the 1,135 away fans who backed them.
He said: “I am very pleased and very proud of my players because all of them gave 100% and, if you don’t work hard, it is impossible to win here.
“I’m very pleased because no (visiting) team had won here. To be the first to do it is an honour for us.
“We had some good chances to score, they had one or two.
“We took our chance and that made the difference.”
