Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has praised a “great finish” by Ashley Barnes.
But he felt his side could have done more to prevent the goal which cost the Cherries two points.
Barnes fired in from an angle to secure a 1-1 draw for the Seagulls at the Goldsands Stadium yesterday.
Howe said: “We didn’t front screen the striker from a throw-in which is disappointing from our perspective.
“The lad has still got a lot to do. On his left foot and from a tight angle it’s a great finish.
“That’s the quality of the opposition we are up against. You get punished.”
