Albion boss Chris Hughton is focusing on two "very tough" away assignments at Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday after Saturday's expensive home defeat by Nottingham Forest, which has kept his side in the Championship mire.

The Seagulls head to Wales tomorrow night still two points and a place above the drop zone to face Cardiff, who are below halfway in the table following relegation from the Premier League last season.

Hughton's men go on their travels again to Yorkshire on Saturday to tackle Sheffield Wednesday.

He said: "It is relentless. You don't have time, you have to look forward to the next games. You don't have so much time to reflect on the last one, so we move on to two very tough games this week.

"Cardiff are similar to a lot of clubs that come down from the Premier League. They are finding themselves again, adjusting to life in the Championship.

"We have seen that with numerous clubs, your Boltons and Blackburns.

"They have still got a lot of players in the squad that were involved in their Premier League time."
