Albion boss Chris Hughton is banking on another visit from one of the promotion contenders bringing the best out of his side again at the Amex.
The Seagulls face eighth-placed Wolves tomorrow after seeing off seventh-placed Ipswich in January and knocking Derby off top spot in their last home game.
Hughton told The Argus: “You’d like to think that Wolves coming here will get the best out of us and we’ll raise our game.
“We’ve had different types of performances here. For a period in the second half against Derby it didn’t look like we were going to win but when you are up against the better teams you have got to be good defensively, because you know they can score a goal.
“That gives you the confidence to produce what we think we are capable of producing. They (Wolves) are a good team and I hope very much they bring out the best of us.”
A fourth straight home victory will guarantee Albion a minimum nine-point cushion over the sides in the relegation zone ahead of Tuesday’s visit to next-to-bottom Millwall.
