Andrew Crofts played his first full 90 minutes for almost 11 months tonight.
But team mate Adam Chicksen was sent-off early in the second half of Albion under-21s' 1-0 defeat by Swansea at the Amex.
Crofts went the distance in the third start of his comeback from a second serious knee injury.
Among those watching proceedings was Wales boss Chris Coleman.
Left-back Chicksen saw red on 52 minutes for a second booking in quick succession.
Having seen yellow for clattering into Ollie McBurnie, he then lost possession to Ryan Hedges near halfway and tugged his opponent back.
McBurnie headed the only goal after just ten minutes.
