Christian Walton is having treatment at Albion after his injury-hindered loan stint at Bury was cut short.
The England under-21 goalkeeper has been troubled by a groin problem.
He has also been forced to pull out of Gareth Southgate's squad for the matches against the USA at Preston on Thursday and in Norway next Monday.
Walton, who played six times for Bury, is now working with Albion's medical staff.
Seagulls manager Chris Hughton then wants to see him prove his fitness with the club’s under-21s with a view to going out on loan again in the autumn.
