Daniel Akindayini earned Albion's under-21s their best result of the season in the West Midlands tonight.
The former Spurs striker came off the bench to equalise in a 1-1 draw for Simon Rusk's youngsters at unbeaten league leaders West Brom.
Akindayini, brought on in the second half in place of ex-Chelsea forward Chike Kandi, raced through the home defence with 13 minutes left to place the ball under keeper Ethan Ross in the clash at Tamworth's home ground, The Lamb.
It cancelled out a towering 63rd minute header by Shaun Donnellan from a corner for West Brom and came two minutes after former Real Madrid prospect Jack Harper was handed his debut for the Seagulls.
The Scottish youth international has been recovering from a knee injury since his arrival in the summer.
Harper, brought on at centre-forward at the expense of Jeffrey Monakana, almost made a dream start to his Albion career with a well-struck shot from 25 yards in the closing stages which forced Ross to save to preserve West Brom's undefeated record in their 13th outing of the season.
