Whitehawk will be away to Premier League Everton in the third round of the FA Cup should they beat Dagenham and Redbridge in a replay at the Enclosed Ground next Tuesday.
Albion, meanwhile, must visit fellow Championship side Hull City, with the third round ties being played January 8-11.
The Hawks drew 1-1 in their second round tie at Dagenham on Sunday when substitute Jordan Rose headed an equaliser deep into stoppage time.
They now have a huge incentive to get through next week’s replay.
Boss Steven King said: “Dagenham will fancy their chances. It is a massive carrot for whoever gets through.
“The draw will inspire my players. Everyone will want to play in that game.
“The replay is 50-50, the best on the day gets through, it will be a tough game.”
The draw for Albion has a knock-on effect in that the fourth round will take on the weekend of January 30 when the Seagulls were due to be away to Hull in the Championship.
That game will now be moved to a midweek date.
