Inigo Calderon has been passed fit for action at Derby – but Albion have left Bobby Zamora on the bench.
Calderon starts as stand-in left-back as the Seagulls tackle third-placed Rams in the Championship’s match of the day.
Tomer Hemed returns to the starting XI alongside James Wilson in attack with Zamora among the subs at the start of a busy week.
Calderon revealed to The Argus on Wednesday that he expected to be available, despite leaving last Saturday’s win over Charlton after taking a hefty whack to the foot.
He continues at left-back in the absence of longer-term absentees Gaetan Bong and Liam Rosenior.
Derby goalkeeper Scott Carson has again been ruled out by the back complaint which sidelined him for last Sunday's 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday so Lee Grant continues.
But Stephen Warnock has recovered from a whack to the ribs which forced him off at Hillsborough and starts at left-back.
Derby: Grant; Christie, Keogh, Shackell, Warnock; Thorne, Butterfield, Johnson; Ince, Martin, Weimann. Subs: Mitchell, Baird, Pearce, Shotton, Hendrick, Russell, Bent.
Albion: Stockdale; Bruno, Greer, Dunk, Calderon; March, Kayal, Stephens, Murphy; Wilson, Hemed. Subs: Maenpaa, Chicksen, Huenemeier, Ince, van La Parra, Zamora, Manu.
Referee: Lee Mason
