Chris Hughton admitted Albion need more cutting edge after seeing them suffer another home defeat.

The Seagulls lost 1-0 to Wolves as Connor Goldson scored a first-half own goal.

Bruno hit the bar as the hosts chased a leveller and Lewis Dunk was denied by a brilliant last-gasp Carl Ikeme save.

Hughton said he could not fault the commitment of his team and felt they deserved something from the game.

He added: “I can’t really think apart from of course the goal they scored – which was an error from us – of a good goalscoring opportunity they had.

“Once they got their goal they were happy to sit back and make it more difficult for us.

“The onus is on us. We need to break down a good defensive team and get the goals we need.

“We found it tough going and even the half-opportunities we had their goalkeeper was in good form.

“We have got to find a way to find these goals that we need.”
