Albion's under-21s were undone by some Barcelona magic as they went down 2-0 away to West Ham tonight.
Alex Song - who is on loan to the Hammers from the Nou Camp - set up both goals from set-pieces in a rare outing for the development squad as he continues his comeback from injury.
The former Arsenal midfielder's free kick was headed in by Djair Parfitt-Williams just before the break to give West Ham the lead at their Rush Green training ground.
He then delivered another inviting ball which Reece Oxford nodded past Niki Maenpaa in the Albion goal 13 minutes from time.
Dessie Hutchinson went closest to scoring for the Seagulls near the end but was denied by a fine save from former Crawley Town loanee Raphael Spiegel.
Albion under-21s: Maenpaa, Hunt, Barnett, Collar, Barclay, Dallison, Monakana, Hutchinson, Akindayini, Harper, Tilley. Subs: Harris, Vose, Molumby, Deen, Marguire-Drew.
