Nathan Jones has been backed to make a success of his first taste of management – by his first Albion boss.
Jones was officially unveiled as Luton Town’s new manager yesterday on a two-and-a-half-year contract after leaving his post as the Seagulls’ first team coach.
Oscar Garcia, back in football as No.1 at Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg, told The Argus: “He is a hard worker, always open to learn and improve.
“He has enough knowledge and experience to become a fantastic manager. I wish him all the best because he deserves it.”
Former Albion defender Jones returned to the club in the summer of 2013 to become Spaniard Oscar’s assistant.
The Welshman said: “I was very close to Oscar when he was here and learned a lot from him.”
