Albion captain Gordon Greer and Sheffield Wednesday's Barry Bannan will be international team-mates after they face each other in the play-offs.
The pair have been included in the Scotland squad for friendlies away to Italy and France - but there is no place for Albion winger Jamie Murphy.
Greer or Bannan will miss the Italy match as it is on May 29, the day after the Championship play-off final.
Gordon Strachan's side visit Euro finals hosts France six days later.
Greer's only 90 minutes since December was for Scotland in a 1-0 friendly win against Denmark at Hampden Park in March.
Murphy was an unused substitute for the same game after earning his first senior call-up.
Another of Albion's wide men, Jiri Skalak, is also set for a potential club and country clash.
He is expected to feature in the Czech Republic squad for friendlies in Austria against Malta on May 27 and Russia four days later as they prepare for the Euro finals.
