Tim Krul has played down the neck injury which forced him out of FA Cup action.
The Dutch goalkeeper did not return for the second half against Coventry on Saturday.
He expects to be fit to rejoin the squad for Saturday's league game against Swansea.
Krul suffered whiplash in a nasty fall when trying to deal with a high ball in the first half.
He revealed: “I just stiffened up at half time. I’m a bit of robot now!
“They have looked after it and said it was fine. It was just a bad landing.
“At 2-0 up I wanted to keep playing but you have to look at your health.
“They had a shot just before half-time and you need to be fully free to deal with that.”
Niki Maenpaa, forced off through injury in the FA Cup defeat at Lincoln last season – also after a heavy landing – was this time the recipient of bonus playing time.
Maenpaa’s only previous outing this season was in the Carabao Cup win over Barnet in August.
