Matchwinner Craig Mackail-Smith reckons Albion are learning fast in the Championship.
The Seagulls are sitting pretty in second place with six points out of six after Mackail-Smith's first goal for the club clinched a 1-0 win at Portsmouth.
He said: "We've been fantastic in the two games. We've had to dig deep. I think we've learnt a lot about what the Championship is like compared to League One and this will definitely stand us in good stead for the next couple of weeks.
"They were a big, strong team and most of them in this league will be big and strong. I think we have learnt to deal with it well and hopefully we can start implementing our own football and scoring a few more goals."
