Craig Noone has been hailed as Albion’s top wide man, at least for the time being.

Noone has been in sparkling early season form to edge him ahead of Kazenga LuaLua and the injured Will Buckley.

LuaLua has not started a game since the opening day of the season, when a tight hamstring forced him out of the victory over Doncaster.

Boss Gus Poyet has told the on-loan Newcastle speed merchant he will have to fight for the left wing spot.

Poyet said: “Kaz is a character. We know him very well.

“He prefers to play on the left and at the moment Craig Noone is on fire, so he is going to have to fight for his place.

“He knows that. There is no problem with Kazenga and he likes it because he needs to put in a little more effort and be ready, then if he gets a chance perform and make the difference and then maybe he will play.”
