Mauricio Taricco makes his Championship debut for Albion as they tackle Crystal Palace tonight.
The assistant manager replaces Inigo Calderon at right-back while Ryan Harley returns in midfield in place of Kazenga LuaLua.
Calderon does not feature in the 16.
Palace have last season's Albion top scorer Glenn Murray in attack.
Midfielder Owen Garvan, who almost moved in the opposite direction in pre-season, is ruled out by a hamstring problem.
Victory will take the Seagulls into the top three – top if there are surprise results at West Ham and Derby.
