Albion suffered derby despair at The Amex tonight - despite a flying start.
Former Seagulls star Glenn Murray completed the scoring in added time as Crystal Palace won 3-1.
Craig Mackail-Smith put the Seagulls ahead in just the seventh minute with a near-post finish after Ryan Harley and Gary Dicker worked a near-post corner.
Palace improved after the break and eventually equalised in the 80th minute after a mazy run and finish from Wilfried Zaha.
Darren Ambrose forced home the second on 89 minutes before Murray, who did not celebrate, fired the third.
