Albion have recalled midfielder Matt Sparrow as they look to return to winning form.

Sparrow replaces Alan Navarro as one of two changes as the Seagulls prepare to face Hull City at The Amex.

The other alteration to the XI which started at Ipswich a fortnight ago is more predictable as Lewis Dunk returns to central defence after a one-game ban, replacing Romain Vincelot.

Sparrow last started a Championship fixture back in August, when Albion used a midfield diamond to win impressively at Cardiff.

Boss Gus Poyet looks set to use that set-up again today, although he has the option of sending on winger Craig Noone off the bench.

Vicente makes his first home start and will be asked to pull strings in an attacking midfield role.

However the Seagulls' most recent worries have been of a defensive nature, having conceded three goals in each of their last three games.

Hull have former Albion defender Paul McShane on their bench but are missing ex-England international Nick Barmby, who has a calf injury.

Boss Nigel Pearson has decided against recalling fit-again Paul McKenna in midfield.

That means Martin Pusic keeps his place on the left of a 4-4-2 set-up with dangerous Robert Koren staying in a central role.

The two sides both go into today's game on 17 points but Hull's current form is the better and they have lost just two of their last 23 away games.
