Lewis Dunk has been recalled to central defence as Albion chase a long-awaited win at The Amex today.

Dunk, called up by England under-21s this week, returns after a two-match absence for the Seagulls' home tussle with Barnsley.

His return is one of three changes of personnel to the side which started at Watford in midweek with Alan Navarro and Mauricio Taricco also called in.

Marcos Painter, who picked up a knee injury at Vicarage Road, misses out along with Romain Vincelot and Matt Sparrow.

Taricco filled in at right-back for the last hour at Warford as part of a reshuffle after Liam Bridcutt went off feeling dizzy.

Bridcutt has, as expected, recovered in time to play but Taricco goes to the left of defence and Inigo Calderon reverts to right-back.

Billy Paynter gets his first home start but Albion, winless for almost two months, have attacking options on the bench.

Barnsley's starting line-up includes former Seagulls duo Jimmy McNulty and Craig Davies.

Albion: Harper; Calderon, Greer, Dunk, Taricco; Bridcutt, Navarro, Harley; Noone, Paynter, Mackail-Smith. Subs: Ankergren, Vincelot, LuaLua, Buckley, Barnes.

Barnsley: Steele; Wiseman, Foster, McNulty, McEveley; Drinkwater, Addison; Perkins, Butterfield, Davies; Gray. Subs: Preece, Edwards, Doyle, Vaz Te, Done.

Referee: Kevin Wright (Cambridgeshire)
