BRISTOL City’s out-of-favour striker Jon Stead does not expect to be joining Albion.
The former Ipswich marksman was linked with a move to the Seagulls last week but the 28-year-old says he has been told by Saturday’s Amex victims he is not available for loan.
Stead, transferred for fees totalling £4.4 million in spells with eight different clubs, was unhappy to be left out of the squad for the 2-0 defeat by Albion.
Wolves' Welsh international Sam Vokes, one of the strikers on Albion's list of possible striker targets, has ended his loan spell at Burnley and did not feature in Saturday's victory at Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, Albion have yet to complete a deal for potential development squad striker signing Ben Dickenson from Dorchester. The former Southampton trainee is also a target for several other clubs.
