A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all of the closures from Friday, December 1 to Sunday, December 3 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, December 1

M23

On the M23 southbound way, there will be an entry slip road closure at Junction 9 for barrier works from 8pm to 6am.

A23

On the A23 northbound way, there will be an exit slip road closure at Jeremys Lane for resurfacing work from 8pm to 6am.

Also on the northbound way, there will be an exit slip road closure at Warninglid for resurfacing work from the same time.

Finally, the exit and entry slip roads at Bolney will be shut for the same type of works at the same time.

A27

In both directions on the A27, there will be a carriageway closure from Mill Lane to Offington roundabout between 8pm and 6am.

Also in both directions, a carriageway closure between Beddingham roundabout and Ripe Lane and Ford Road roundabout to Crossbush roundabout will occur from 8pm to 6am.

Elsewhere, on the eastbound way, there will be an exit and entry slip road closure on Eastern Road between 9pm and 6am alongside an exit slip road closure at Adur between 8pm and 6am.
