A small number of motorway and A Road closures will affect Sussex traffic this weekend, according to National Highways England.

These will mainly be on the A27 in the early hours of the morning for maintenance work.

If you are set to be travelling along these areas, it's best to take note of different diversions that may be in place.

Here’s a list of all of the closures from Friday, March 1 to Sunday, March 3 on Sussex's main roads to be aware of.

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Friday, March 1

M23

There are no closures for the M23 going into or out of Sussex on this day.

There are no closures listed for the A23 on this day.

A27

  • A27 westbound and eastbound Ford Road roundabout to Fontwell East roundabout carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am
  • A27 eastbound Adur to Hangleton carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am
  • A27 westbound Langstone to Harts Farm Way carriageway closure - 9pm to 6am
  • A27 eastbound Ashcombe to Southerham carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am
  • A27 both directions Cophall roundabout to Pevensey roundabout carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am
  • A27 westbound Adur to Manor Road roundabout carriageway closure - 8pm to 6am

M23, A23 and A27 road closures for Saturday, March 2

M23

On the M23 southbound way, there will be an exit slip road closure at Junction 11 between 8pm and 6am for maintenance works.

A23

There are no closures listed for the A23 on this day.

A27

On the A27 eastbound way there will be a carriageway closure from Ashcombe to Southerham from 8pm to 6am for structural works.
