Astro-PhysicsFrom: Brighton Influences: N.E.R.D, The Roots, The Fugees, Pendulum and early-era Prodigy. Profile: Monday, March 12, sees Brighton hip-hop collective Astro-Physics release their new EP It’s A Mindstate. The six-piece first got together in 2008, with their signature combination of old-skool hip-hop and rock guitar and synth lines. And the mix has proved a winner at festivals including The Big Chill, Glad and Beach Break, where they shared stages with the likes of Pendulum, Taio Cruz, Chipmunk, Sway and The Futureheads. They are currently in the running for the Road To Blissfields competition, having already won the Sound Factory Battle Of The Bands competition in 2009.
