Profile: Formerly known as Daze One, Hold Fire has just finished a series of recordings with former Manics and Idlewild producer Dave Eringa. The sessions followed on from a two-song recording session at Courtyard Studios, the home of band favourites Radiohead and Supergrass, where the new name was decided on from a shortlist of 80. The 2005 Southern FM Battle Of The Bands champions and winners of Steve Lamacq's Radio One Live In Brighton Demo Idol competition got together as 14-year-olds six years ago. The four-piece is now planning a national tour, which is expected to take in Brighton, on the back of their new recordings. |
