Us Baby Bear Bones

From: Brighton

Influences: Why? Broken Social Scene, and Mew.

Profile: Dream-pop trio Us Baby Bear Bones made their live debut with a very special free show at White Night in 2010 combining film, shadow-puppetry and their own child-like animalistic arrangements and vocalisations.

Anyone who has seen them play live in Brighton will know that Puff Gandolfo, Daisy Emily Warne and Luke Phillips are bringing something very new to the city's music scene.

Their musical themes cover the nostalgia of childhood and the pains of being a teenager over a mix of old and new electronic and acoustic instruments.

Their songs are both ethereal and wispy, and hard and scratchy, with the main linking force being the vocal interplay between Puff and Daisy.

They have already earned slots at The Great Escape, tracks on both of One Inch Badge Seamonsters compilations celebrating the best new music in the city, and a support show for Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier.
